Drill2Frac’s FracCheck™ service provides an analytical method for operators to consistently reduce fracturing costs, while improving fracture performance.
The FracCheck proprietary process, models the impact of rock properties on fracture efficiency and effectiveness. Often, wells drilled on the same pad do not respond to fracturing in the same way. This results in extra costs due to low operating efficiencies, wasted treatment fluids, and unnecessary pumping horsepower.
FracCheck is the industry’s first integrated service that combines rock mechanical properties (RockMSE) computed from drilling data, fracturing pressures and rates, and other completion evaluation measurements (e.g. tracer studies) to provide a detailed assessment of fracture performance and completion efficiency. The service also provides important diagnostic information that helps to provide insights into understanding problems or differences in the stimulation behavior between wells.
Examples of three client applications.
1. Analysis of Existing Wells
Since no additional data is required, a group of wells that have experienced screen outs, frac hits and other anomalies can be analyzed to better understand the rock properties’ relationships to the treatment data, frac performance, and the variable parameters’ impact on the completion design’s effectiveness.
2. Expedited Data Analytics
The FracCheck service has a very high degree of automation. Within hours after a well or even just a few stages have been completed, Drill2Frac can provide quick and meaningful insights into what the impact, if any, the rock properties and/or completion design had on the fracture treatment and performance.
3. Comparison of completion designs
When operators optimize completions based on rock properties, accounting for heterogeneity, FracCheck can be used to compare the stimulation performance between different groups of wells.
