An OmniLog™ lateral profile can be generated for one or a group of historical wells. Completion design for each well is analyzed and portions of the lateral that are understimulated are easily identified. Refrac procedures/designs can then be developed using clients preference for completion strategy.
In determining likely under-stimulated areas of a well that are candidates for re-frac, Drill2Frac lateral profile process offers a unique benefit. It is the only service that can be performed retroactively without running any additional tools. By using our lateral profile, and the initial perforation design, combined with our proprietary fracture modeling tools, you can predict where the initial fracture fluids were distributed along the lateral – highlighting sections of the lateral which are likely to be over stimulated or under stimulated. By characterizing multiple wells, and when combined with actual production data, operators can accurately prioritize which wells may be underperforming due to unstimulated lateral sections. Targeted re-stimulation ensures the effectiveness of the re-frac investment.
